PRL FONT
Creation of a display font based on a lettering from a craft house in Łódź, Poland, built in the 1970s.
Inspiration for the font was the PRL (Polish People's Republic) nostalgia, alliance between popular culture and communism in Poland. Category: Typography |
"Dom rzemiosła", which served as an inspiration for creating the PRL font is a craft service mall located in Łódź, Poland.
It was built in the 1970s and currently just over half of the craftsmen remained in 40 factories, workshops and shops, such as leather-making, fur, shoemaking and hat making. Most of them are retirees. |
